Inspired by an African seat, chaise à palabra, made from two pieces that fit together to form a portable chair, the Palaver chair is designed specifically for travelers. This design principal is executed by the wooden structure and leather seat attached with snaps, more greatly enriched by an intertwining of contrasting leather strips, forming a net.

Furthering the discourse of “Object Nomade,” research and inspiration was taken from the history of design, as well as everyday life. The raw materials and methods used in the craftsmanship contribute largely to the rendering of this chair. The exterior part of the chair “skin,” model an integral part in the “bones” of the structure. Additionally, the net with the leather stripes lend themselves to the unique language of this chair.
